Over time that constant state of stress stops feeling like stress and starts feeling just like your normal. It doesn’t have to be.

  • Overthinking

    The thoughts don’t stop when the day does. You lie down and your mind starts going through everything you said, everything you didn’t say, everything that might go wrong tomorrow. The less you sleep the more anxious you feel, and the more anxious you feel the less you sleep. It’s one of the most draining cycles there is, and it’s one of the most common things people come to me for help with.

  • Burnout

    This is beyond ordinary tiredness. You wake up already depleted, get through the day running on fumes, and go to bed dreading tomorrow. The things that used to bring you energy just don’t anymore. Burnout is what happens when you’ve been pushing through stress for too long without anything to bring you back to yourself, and it affects everything around you quietly and gradually.

  • Worry

    It’s not always dramatic. Sometimes it’s a constant low level unease that never quite goes away. A feeling that something is slightly wrong, that you need to stay on top of everything, that relaxing is somehow not safe. That background tension is exhausting in its own way and over time it takes a real toll.
