What happens in a session?

Every session is private, professional and tailored specifically to you. We start with exactly what you want to change and build the work around that, not a one-size-fits-all programme.

The first session is 90 minutes. We talk through what's going on, identify what's driving it, and begin working on it. Follow-up sessions are 60 minutes, each one focused on your specific goals and where you are in the process.

I use a blend of evidence-based psychological methods, always including hypnotherapy, combined in a way that's personal to you and what you're working on.

How many sessions will I need?

Most people need 6 to 8 sessions. We always start with a clear goal and track progress as we go, so you'll always have a sense of where you are and what we're working toward.

Does this work?

Most of what drives our behaviour, reactions and emotions isn't conscious. Once we develop certain patterns of thinking or responding, they become automatic, like driving a car. We stop choosing them, they just happen.

That's why willpower alone rarely works. You can consciously decide to change something, but if the pattern is running automatically beneath the surface, the subconscious mind almost always wins.

Hypnotherapy works by accessing that deeper level directly, creating the conditions for real change rather than just surface level effort. Combined with Cognitive Behavioural techniques that address the thought patterns consciously, the two together are significantly more effective than either on their own.

Most clients notice a real shift, often sooner than they expected. 

Is everything confidential?

Yes, completely. I am a registered member of the General Hypnotherapy Register and the International Council of Integrative Psychotherapists, both of which require strict ethical and confidentiality standards as a condition of membership. Sessions take place on a secure, encrypted, GDPR-compliant platform and everything you share stays entirely private.
