Phobias and Fears

A fear of flying, heights, driving, needles, open or closed spaces, speaking in public, or social situations. Even if yours isn't on this list, the same is true: it's exhausting, and it slowly shrinks the life you actually want to live.

Fears and phobias make us react in different ways: fearful thoughts, a racing heartbeat, tense body, sweaty palms, a general sense of panic.

These reactions happen so automatically that telling yourself to calm down, or trying to analyze it and act logically, never works.

How I can help

Exposure therapy is considered the gold standard for treating phobias.

I combine it with hypnotherapy and Cognitive Behavioural techniques, which research shows can speed up progress and make the process more comfortable.

About me

What sessions look like

I offer therapy that's unique to each person. Here's some of what we might work on.

We work through your fears gradually, at a pace that feels entirely safe and comfortable for you.

Using hypnosis and deep relaxation, we start by safely facing the fear in your imagination first.

While in this calm state, we use visualization to steadily build your self-belief and confidence, preparing you to face your fears in real life.

Sessions are 1-to-1, online via Zoom, with appointments available in CET.
